Award Selection Methodology
How to interpret our listings and compare agencies
Using the National Marketing Awards
National Marketing Awards is an editorial recognition and agency directory. Use its state, city and specialty lists to discover firms, then compare their relevant work, delivery team and proposed scope before choosing a partner.
Placement reflects editorial selection and publisher priorities. It is not the result of an independent judging panel or a weighted performance calculation. NMA awards and badges identify recognition within this publication; they are separate from awards issued by other organizations.
What to Compare
Relevant Work
Look for projects that match your business needs. Ask what the agency delivered, when the work happened and who was responsible for execution.
Client Results
Read the source behind a result. Check its timeframe, measurement method and business context. A client logo alone does not substantiate a campaign outcome.
Capabilities and Fit
Compare services, assigned team, budget and delivery model against your requirements. Confirm current availability directly with the agency.
Industry Recognition
Consider awards, certifications, reviews and press in context. Check the issuer, category and date, and distinguish editorial coverage from a press release.
How Listings Are Organized
State and city pages combine featured agencies with a selection from the wider directory. Supporting selections vary by location. Inclusion does not mean every agency in that market was evaluated or that a firm has an office there. A “serving” label describes service coverage; an office location is a separate fact to confirm.
List positions and NMA recognition are editorial designations. They should not be read as measured differences in performance or a guarantee of results. Use linked agency profiles and original sources to assess the experience relevant to your project.
Publisher and Affiliations
National Marketing Awards is published by Anderson Collaborative. Anderson Collaborative and affiliated agency Nativz receive priority placement, including the first two positions on state and city lists. Their order varies by the publication's geographic placement policy. These placements are not independent endorsements.
Information and Updates
Profiles bring together agency information, work examples and recognition. An agency-reported result is not an independent audit, and inclusion does not mean every claim has been verified with a client. Check the original source and request clarification when it matters to your decision.
Publication dates identify the edition; page update dates identify changes to that page. Neither means every listed business has been reassessed on that date. Agencies and readers can submit corrections with supporting sources through the nomination form.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a higher placement guarantee better results?
No. Placement is an editorial designation, including publisher-affiliated priority. Compare relevant evidence, scope and the proposed team rather than treating list order as a prediction of your results.
Are all listed agencies based in the named state or city?
No. Lists can include national agencies serving a market remotely. Check the location shown and confirm the office, service coverage and meeting arrangements that matter to you.
What does an NMA award or badge mean?
It identifies the agency's recognition in this publication and its stated edition or category. It is not a certification, independent performance audit or guarantee. Other awards mentioned in a profile belong to their respective issuers.
How can an agency submit information or a correction?
Use the nomination form and include relevant source links, the affected page and the correction requested. A submission does not guarantee inclusion or placement.
